My thesis project: a pedestrian ring suspended between land, sea and sky, conceived as a symbolic and physical bridge between Yaffo and Tel Aviv, two neighbouring but divided districts.

The inspiration goes back to my student years in Yaffo, the oldest Arab neighbourhood in Israel and an integral part of the economic capital. The separation between Yaffo and Tel Aviv always struck me as abnormal, given their close proximity and shared importance.

Initially imagined as an economic hub linking the two cities, the project evolved into a deeper response, rooted in the social dynamics of the place. Its final form is a pedestrian ring, a suspended structure that highlights the natural beauty of the site while building a connection between the two communities.

Beyond the architectural exercise, MAKOM reflects my belief that architecture can heal, unite and enhance the social fabric of urban spaces.
